What a great weekend! Toronto’s Interior Design Show, aka IDS, ran over this past weekend and it was well worth the crowds and cold. I look forward to this show every year, as it helps inspire those creative juices and leaves us with so much to talk about. This year was one of the best years I have seen! I walked out with my head spinning with new ideas. Here are a few trends and snap shots I noted while making my way through the show…
Mirrored drawer fronts and smaller panel details on the cabinetry. (Cranberry Hill Kitchens) |
Instead of a traditional backsplash, use a door panel to keep it simple and clean. (Cranberry Hill Kitchens) |
Cool stir stick chandelier, Beauti-tone! |
Niki showing off the monochromatic display from Miele. This is a freezer. Check out all the drawers and baskets. |
Miele renderings for their wall ovens. It’s art and design. |
Hung on the wall, this cook top has a Wok option too. (Miele) |
A new take on the traditional claw foot tub.
I love the collage and orange rocking chair. (Draw Me A Sheep)
Major trend spotting: Gold and Brass. It’s time to indulge in this again! (Cocoon’s Aerin Lauder Collection) |
Casa Life has also mastered the metal mixing. And a stunning art piece called Square Root. |
Funky display from Caesarstone. I love the turquoise shower head. |
I got interactive with the Caesarstone display. |
Metro Tiles is showing off that pattern is coming back in tile. |
It’s like fabric patterns are translated to tile! |
