Happy 2014 reno readers! I hope that everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. I sure did. It whizzed by due to many social gatherings, food a plenty and a great cruise vacation down south to the Caribbean. It’s been a hard reality to return home to -10 degree weather and inches of snow. However, surfing though my vacation photos has helped ease the return.
Did anyone make any New Year’s resolutions? I made some personal and professional goals for this year! A few I made, which I swear I say every year, is to read more (less magazines, more books) and create more “me” time in my busy schedule. As for a professional change, I want to use more colour. When touring the Caribbean islands, you would not believe the amount of colour used in their buildings. It’s playful and inspiring. Now, I may not take it to such an extreme as to paint a client’s house bright yellow, but I will consider using bolder colours in some spaces.
