As I mentioned on my Instagram over the weekend, I have started to notice a trend in my designs; painting interior doors. And not just the back side of the front doors, as I commented on a few years ago in THIS post, but all the doors in the space.

Commonly, I ask clients if they would consider painting their “man doors” (the ones we use to walk through) an alternate colour from the trim. I find that in this new all-white, netural trend we are experiencing in design as of late, it’s a nice change from the monochromatic colour palette. Changing up your door colour also creates a graphic effect and let’s the trim work stand out to be more architectural which I adore.
