I am in love…with my new kitchen. It’s like night and day from what I was working with before. It just oozes awesome-ness in so many ways. I think the biggest reason I have fallen madly for it is the upgrades. When you make the switch from kitchen with zero frills, to one that works well functionally, it blows your mind! (Seems similar to a lover’s relationship, doesn’t it?) Let me show you some of the upgrades that I still get giddy over when I use them…
1. Pots and Pans Drawers

2. Water Dispenser
Some hate water dispensers, but I love my new fridge
feature! It frees up space on my shelves and it’s cocktail friendly!

Finally, I have some casual seating in my kitchen! So long awkward days
of people standing around while I cook!
5. Tray Dividers
Put this on the top of your list! These tray dividers above the
fridge are perfect in so many ways…I am sure you can see why.

I wish I was concluding kitchen month with my “after” photos, but in true renovating form, it is taking longer to finish the final touches! Once they are up, you will be the first to see them…promise!

I love your new island seating! What kind of wood material are they made of? I’ve been hunting to find low cost kitchen seats too, without compromising style and quality. I might build one from scratch, but that’s going to take a bit of research and practice. No worries though, as your post really inspired me.
Hi Kip! Thanks for your comment. The stools are actually made of metal, not wood…Making your own could be a big undertaking. Perhaps try to find some second hand and re purpose them. That could be worth the time and less costly.
I can see why you fell in love with your kitchen, Krista. How long did it take to finish? Working on a new kitchen where you put in your ideas is definitely a thrilling experience. Everything seems to be well-thought as well. Hope you kept the kitchen in good shape!

It was a long process, but typically kitchens are about 6 weeks once all is said and done. This usually this includes contracting work as well. And yes, I still LOVE it to this day. 🙂
