Good morning!
I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Did anyone else notice how ol’ man winter knocking at the door? In my mind, Halloween is the bench mark for the seasonal change from winter to fall. Remember as kids, we use to have to wear our winter coats or thousands of layers under our costumes? That was the pits and usually the first time we had to break out the winter gear. And this year will likely be no exception.
On that note, let’s try to welcome this up and coming winter season with some motivation. I like to try to have some “to-dos” to keep me inspired and focused during the cold months while we are somewhat house bound. Here are things on my list to get me excited for this winter season.
1. Basement clean out! Yes. Finally we are tackling the dreaded basement; the place where belongings go to die. Right now, it looks like this…
What I would really like it to look like eventually is this…

Clearly, we have some, um, major work on our hands. And some serious organizing to do. This project starts in two weeks.
2. Planning a wedding for the summer. Did I fail to mention that Nick popped the big question this summer? I am not sure how that major detail got missed, but it’s true! We are working towards a summer wedding for 2014. Isn’t this fun?
Literally, moments after he popped the question. He must love me considering my look! We were camping so I was au natural and sporting it up. |
3. Southern Bound. As a surprise, my parents have purchased a home down in the south of Florida. Mom needs help to spruce the place up and I am more than happy to be of assistance. This winter is going to be a breeze now that I may be able to spend some time down near the ocean, especially if it looks like this.
